THE HEART OF FOUR BRANCHES
Honoring the Legacy of Gregory R. Wright, Jr.
Four Branches Bourbon was born from a profound act of remembrance. Co-founder Rick Franco established this venture to honor his friend Greg Wright, Jr. (1973–2005), a fellow Virginia Military Institute graduate and Marine Officer whose ultimate sacrifice in Iraq saved the lives of others. Greg's extraordinary courage earned him the distinction of being the first CIA contractor awarded the Intelligence Star, embodying the quiet heroism of those who serve our nation in the shadows.
Greg's legacy inspired Rick to join forces with Mike Trott, Harold Underdown, and RJ Casey. Together, they founded Four Branches with a mission to preserve and share stories of valor like Greg's, ensuring these acts of extraordinary courage live on in every bottle we produce.
THE SYMBOLISM BEHIND OUR NAME
US ARMY
The base foundation mark represents the first branch of the military, upon which all other branches and services are built.
US MARINE CORPS
The leanest branch of the services, represented by the sword and bayonet, forms the backbone of our amphibious warfare capabilities.
US NAVY
The vertical portion of our symbol represents a submarine sail or ship's mast, as they maintain our freedom and security on the seas.
US AIR FORCE
Represented by the large sweeping vertical mark stretching skyward, supporting all branches with significant air superiority.
SPECIAL OPERATIONS
This downward spear / half arrow represents those who serve at the Tip of the Spear. The visible part of the spear represents those still serving...the invisiible suggestion represents those no longer with us.
