Founded by four veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, Four Branches was built on a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, camaraderie, and the American spirit. What started overseas as a simple idea, to create something meaningful together, became a veteran-founded bourbon that honors service through excellence.
Our commitment to quality and authenticity runs deep. From hand-selecting grains to aging every barrel with patience and purpose, we craft small-batch bourbon that reflects the same integrity we lived by in uniform. And through our Giveback Program, each pour supports veteran and first responder communities that continue to make a difference every day.
THE HEART OF FOUR BRANCHES
Honoring the Legacy of Gregory R. Wright, Jr.
Four Branches Bourbon was founded on remembrance, a promise to never let acts of courage fade into silence. Co-founder Rick Franco created the brand to honor his friend Gregory R. Wright, Jr. (1973–2005), a Virginia Military Institute graduate, Marine Officer, and CIA contractor whose ultimate sacrifice in Iraq saved lives and inspired generations.
Greg’s extraordinary bravery earned him the distinction of becoming the first CIA contractor to receive the Intelligence Star, a rare honor symbolizing quiet heroism and unwavering service. His story embodies the spirit behind every bottle we make: courage lived out, not spoken of.
In his memory, Rick joined forces with Mike Trott, Harold Underdown, and RJ Casey to form Four Branches Bourbon, a veteran-founded bourbon dedicated to preserving the stories of service, sacrifice, and brotherhood. Each pour supports veteran and first responder communities, ensuring legacies like Greg’s live on.
THE SYMBOLISM BEHIND OUR NAME

US ARMY
The foundation of our emblem represents the first branch of service, the Army, the bedrock of our nation’s defense and the cornerstone of unity, discipline, and leadership. It’s the steady base upon which all others rise.
US NAVY
The vertical bar of our symbol draws from the submarine sail and ship’s mast, standing tall for freedom on the open seas. Like the Navy, it reflects balance, direction, and unwavering resolve, the very traits that anchor our spirits.
US MARINE CORPS
The next stroke honors the Marine Corps: swift, lean, and unyielding. Represented by the edge of a sword, it embodies courage under fire and the relentless pursuit of mission success, values mirrored in the way we craft our bourbon.
US AIR FORCE
The upward arc symbolizes innovation, precision, and protection from above. It mirrors the Air Force’s reach and readiness, pushing boundaries just as we do in pursuit of exceptional small-batch bourbon.
SPECIAL OPERATIONS
The descending spear, often unseen, represents those who serve at the Tip of the Spear: the quiet professionals whose courage moves in shadows. The visible line honors those still serving; the invisible stroke remembers those who gave all.
